Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how True Peak, LLC, doing business as Mtn Money ("Mtn Money," "we," "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Mtn Money Pro app for iPhone, its widgets and extensions, and our website at mtnmoney.pro (together, the "Services").
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Use. If you have a disability and need this policy in another format, email support@mtnmoney.pro.
The short version
- We collect the financial information you choose to connect or enter so we can show you your money in one place.
- We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use third-party analytics, ad or tracking tools.
- We never see your bank username or password. Bank connections go through Plaid (and, for some institutions, Finicity or MX).
- Receipt scans, Face ID and our on-device AI stay on your iPhone. When the AI assistant needs our cloud AI provider (Anthropic), we send your question and a summary of your finances, never your name, email or account login.
- You can export your data and delete your account from Settings in the app.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Sign-up details: your name and email address. Your password is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored only as a secure hash. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email (or Apple's private relay email) that Apple shares with us.
- Two-factor authentication: if you turn on text-message codes, your phone number, which our authentication provider and its text-message service use to send your codes. Authenticator-app setup stores only the information needed to verify your codes.
- Profile photo: if you add one. See section 5 for how it's stored.
Financial information from accounts you connect
- Banks, cards, loans and investment accounts you connect through Plaid, or for some institutions Finicity (a Mastercard company) or MX: account names, types, the last few digits of account numbers, balances, credit limits, transactions (dates, amounts, merchant names, descriptions, categories and pending status) and the institution's name and logo. Your login credentials go directly to the provider; we never receive or store them. The provider gives our servers an access token that the app itself can't read.
- Apple Wallet (Apple Card, Apple Cash and Apple Savings), only if you give permission in iOS: account names, balances and transactions. The first import covers the last 3 months; after that, new and changed transactions are added as they happen, including while the app is closed. You can turn this off at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Information you enter
- Manual accounts, transactions, notes, tags, categories and rules, budgets, goals, recurring bills, investment holdings (ticker symbols and quantities) and similar details.
- Messages you send to the AI assistant, and its replies.
- Household details: the name of your household, and the email addresses and roles of people you invite.
- Messages you send us, such as support requests or requests to add an institution.
Technical and subscription information
- Your device's push notification token, used to deliver notifications you've turned on.
- Your subscription status (plan, trial, renewal). Payments are handled by Apple; we never receive your card details.
- A daily count of your cloud AI requests, used to enforce the daily limit.
What we don't collect
We don't collect your precise or approximate location, your contacts, or your device's advertising identifier. We don't use third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. Information that stays on your iPhone
- Face ID, Touch ID and passcode: iOS tells the app only whether you were verified. We never receive your biometric data.
- Receipt scans: text is read from the photo on your iPhone to fill in the transaction. The image isn't uploaded or stored.
- Voice input: when you speak to the assistant, your speech is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition, which may process audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. We don't record or keep the audio. The resulting text is handled like a typed message.
- On-device AI: automatic categorization and, when your iPhone supports it, the AI assistant use Apple's on-device models, so that processing stays on your iPhone.
- Local copies: the app keeps a cache of your data, some settings (such as theme, app lock and your debt payoff plan) and a summary for your home screen widgets on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes them.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Services: showing your accounts, balances and transactions; budgets, goals, cash flow, net worth, forecasts, recurring bills and insights; syncing with connected institutions and Apple Wallet; and household sharing.
- To categorize transactions automatically, using your rules, patterns from your own past categorizations, and on-device models. We keep merchant names, transaction descriptions and the categories you choose to improve automatic categorization.
- To send notifications you've turned on, such as budget alerts, bill reminders and goal milestones.
- To keep the Services and your account secure, including two-factor authentication and usage limits.
- To manage your subscription, provide support and respond to your requests.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
We don't use your information for advertising and we don't sell it.
4. The AI assistant
The assistant first tries Apple's on-device model. If that isn't available on your iPhone or can't answer, your request goes through our servers to Anthropic, which provides our cloud AI model (Claude). In that case we send:
- your question and up to 9 earlier messages from the same conversation, and
- a summary of your finances relevant to the question, which can include net worth; your accounts' names, types and balances; income, spending and top categories and merchants for the period; your 10 most recent transactions; budget status; and goal names and progress.
We don't send your name, email address, account or user ID, or bank credentials. Anthropic processes this to generate the reply under its commercial terms, which don't permit it to use our API data to train its models. Cloud AI requests are limited to 20 per person per day. Your conversations are saved to your account so you can see them again. The assistant's answers can be wrong and aren't financial advice (see our Terms of Use).
5. How we share information
We share information only as described here. We don't sell personal information and don't share it for targeted advertising.
| Who | Why | What they receive |
| Supabase | Hosts our database, sign-in, file storage and server functions, and sends our account, password reset and invitation emails and two-factor text messages | The information stored in your account |
| Plaid | Connects your financial institutions | A random identifier for you, and what you provide to Plaid when connecting. Plaid returns your account and transaction data to us. See Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. |
| Finicity (Mastercard) and MX | Connect some institutions, only if you choose them | A random identifier for you, and what you provide to them when connecting |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, Apple Wallet data, speech recognition, notifications, and App Store purchases | What each Apple feature needs, under Apple's privacy policy |
| Anthropic | Cloud AI for the assistant | See section 4 |
| RevenueCat | Manages subscriptions | Your account's user ID and your App Store purchase history for this app. No name or email. |
| Logo.dev and Plaid | Show bank and merchant logos in the app | The bank's or merchant's website address or logo link, and your device's IP address when your iPhone loads a logo |
| Google and DuckDuckGo | Our servers look up missing bank logos | Only the bank's website address. No information about you. |
| Alpha Vantage | Stock prices for investment holdings | Ticker symbols and your device's IP address |
| Vercel | Hosts our website | Standard web request information when you visit mtnmoney.pro |
Household members: people in your household can see shared information as described in section 6.
Profile photo: your profile photo is stored at a web address that isn't listed anywhere, but anyone who has that address can view the photo.
Legal and business reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, us or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
De-identified data: we may create aggregated data that can't reasonably be linked to you, and use it to understand and improve the Services.
6. Household sharing
If you create or join a household, its members share one financial picture:
- All members can see the household's accounts, balances, transactions, budget, goals, recurring bills and net worth history, and the list of members (names, emails and roles).
- The owner, admins and members can edit shared transactions, goals, recurring bills and the budget. Viewers can only look.
- Each person can add or remove only their own accounts and transactions.
- AI assistant conversations aren't shared.
Only invite people you trust with this information. The household's owner and admins can remove members. To leave a household, ask its owner or contact us.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete transactions, accounts, budgets, goals and other items at any time, and disconnect an institution, which also ends our access at Plaid.
Export: in Settings you can download a copy of your account information, accounts, transactions, budgets, goals and households.
Deleting your account: in Settings, choose Delete Account. We disconnect your banks at Plaid, delete your profile photo and any receipt images, and then permanently delete your account and the data associated with it from our database, including your accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, AI conversations and the categorization examples you created. You can save a copy of your data first. We keep only a minimal record that an account was deleted (the date, the reason you gave and how many items it had), with no contact or financial information. Copies in our hosting provider's backups are deleted as those backups expire.
If you connected an institution through Finicity or MX, deleting your account removes our records of that connection; those providers keep any information they hold under their own policies, and you can ask them to delete it.
Data stored on your iPhone is removed when you delete the app. Information held by Plaid, Finicity, MX or Apple is governed by their own policies.
8. Security
- Data travels over encrypted connections (TLS), and our database provider encrypts stored data.
- Database access rules limit every request to the signed-in person's own data and their household's shared data.
- Bank access tokens are held on our servers only and can't be read by the app.
- You can protect your account with two-factor authentication, and the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. When two-factor is on, you must enter your code before your data can be accessed.
- Your sign-in is stored in the iPhone's Keychain.
No system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away at support@mtnmoney.pro if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
9. Your choices and rights
- In the app: view, edit, export and delete your data; disconnect institutions; turn Apple Wallet access, notifications, microphone, camera and Face ID on or off in iOS Settings.
- By request: depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other U.S. states), you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising (we do neither). Email support@mtnmoney.pro. We'll verify your identity before acting, and you may use an authorized agent. You can appeal a decision by replying to our response. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
10. Children
The Services are for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Where your data is stored
We store and process information in the United States. If you use the Services from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect, and we'll update the effective date above.
